Traditionally, people going through open heart surgery can spend up to a week in the hospital. As their condition improves they will typically move from room to room and floor to floor.Those moves can be nerve racking for the patient and their family who visits only to find their loved one has moved ... again. At Alegent Health, we are doing things a little differently and the patients love it. In this Alegent Health Podcast, you will hear about the Universal Bed Concept at Alegent Health’s Heart and Vascular Insititute. It allows patients to stay in one room from the time they’re admitted to the time they go home.
