Doctors visits, medication, testing kits, insulin – one look at a diabetic’s   list of medical supplies, and its easy to see how the expenses can add up. The   American Diabetes Association estimates people with the disease spend an average   of 2.3 times more on medical costs than those without. While some of these   patients are genetically pre-disposed to the condition, millions of Americans   put themselves at risk for the condition because of poor lifestyle choices.
